Tipperary Masters Series 2008

Jimmy Hannigan sets out to defend his Tipperary Masters title this coming sunday in qualifying round one of this season singles championship. Chrisses Bar and Resturant is the venue for the Clonmel Masters where darts are away at 3.30pm sharp. Entery is again €10 this year and the competion is open to all players registered or born in County Tipperary .Last registation is 3pm sharp.
So who will wrestle Hannigans title from this season. In the running are Donie Ryan,Clonmels Jim Fitzgerald and Mick O Connell, Carricks Archie Morrissey and west tipps trio Del sheehan ,Pa Reynold and Pascal Clery who are all gunning for the Local and Tipperary star Jimmy Hannigans title.

Inter County Results

The Tipperary mens senior side had a good outing in Limerick during the bank holiday weekend. Tipperary had two comprehensive victories over Wexford and Limerick-B before being defeated by Galway in the semi-final.
Big performances on the day by Archie Morrissey, Pascal Clery, Del Sheehan and China Waters who kept our hopes alive against Galway to the bitter end. A strong debut too by Emilys, Richie Phibbs made this, as usual, a worthwhile outing.

Best ladies player on the day was Marjie Connolly.

Premier east division results

Match of the night was the meeting of Crokes B who were last years Tipperary league champions and Kate Ryans B who were last years Tipperary league cup winners. Both teams went head to head for a victory resulting in Kate Ryans B with a win of 6-3 over Crokes B .The closing status of this match saw Andrew Lawler of kate Ryans put in a 15 dart leg which could of easily have being a 13 dart finish to defeat M Flemming. Brian Gallan wrapped up Result for Kate Ryans by defeating Tom Croke 2-0.

Maudies with a victory over Figgerty's of 6-3.this game was played in a very sporting manner, only one 180 was scored on the night by Sean Power of Maudies, the highest checkout was 115 scored by Noel Bulter of Figgerty's.

Local Bar were defeated 5-4 by Ambys who were last years premier east winners.


Premier west division results

Shamrork A defeated Brosnans of Cashel 5-4. Mick Keating man of the match producing a 14 dart leg for a victory over Brosnans.

Feehans kicked off their season with a victory of 6-3 over Lady Gregory.
