Noel Halley wins home masters tournament @ the Abbey Tavern

Noel Halley captured the 2009 Cahir Darts Masters last night when defeating Kilmoylers John Doocey 3-1 in the final of a wonderful tournament.

A well attended tournament saw suprise package Doocey dispose of James Morrissey,Mike Kearney and Jimmy Hanaghan in impressive fashion before falling to Halley in an entertaining final.Tipp Towns Danny O'Brien provided an other suprise with a fantastic run to a semi-final spot disposing the in-form Mike Smith in round 1,Mike's son

and Tipp Youth,Simon Smith in round 2( the double act known as Big Chris and Little Chris) and tournament stalwart Willy Sheehan before being stopped by Noel Halley in the semi.

Thanks to the Tipp Youth players that took part yesterday,Simon Smith,David McGeer,P.J. Hanrahan and Pat Doocey,I hope you all enjoyed the experience and hope to see some youths take part in the masters again in the future.
